ANG Woon Jiun

Associated Partner, Learning and Organizational Development

Based in Singapore. Woon Jiun has over 20 years of experience in the field of customer contact ranging from hotels and resorts, food and beverage operations to military logistics, aviation to tourism, children edutainment and retail.

He is a specialist in the Learning and Organizational Development field and held several senior leadership positions both locally and at a global level. In addition, Woon Jiun was invited as a Distinguished Speaker on several occasions such as the My Paper Advanced Seminar Series to share about Innovation for Luxury Service, Singapore Pools Learning Journey to discuss How to Read Others Better, and discussed the topic of Mental Health at the World Speech Day 2016.

Having worked internationally, Woon Jiun brings with him multicultural understanding and is able to weave in relevant examples in his workshops to heighten the learning and create engagement, including the use of mobile devices and virtual platforms. He was also the co-founder of The L&D Group in Singapore, an exclusive group consisting of 5-Star hotels' L&D leaders, sharing best practices and leveraging on their experiences and networks. Currently, he is affiliated with a couple more regional L&OD networks.

Being a firm believer of lifelong learning, Woon Jiun has attended and is familiar with concepts such as the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, John Maxwell Leadership, Up Your Service, Accelerated Learning and Emotional Intelligence, allowing him to contextualize such insights into his instructional design of courseware and value- adding his training delivery and coaching interactions. He is also able to offer experiential-based team building that focuses on the Lominger Framework, mapping up to 67 competencies with behavioural outcomes.

Woon Jiun graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University of Australia with double majors in Hospitality and Tourism and Human Resource Management, undertaking additional studies in Knowledge and Organizational Learning, Sociology and Psychology. He also holds the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment and is both a Group Training Technique and On-Job Training certified lead trainer.

In his quest for continuous improvement, Woon Jiun is certified as a practitioner in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Step I & II, Belbin Team Profiling in coaching and facilitation, as well as a Life and Business Coach who can administer Neuro-Linguistic Programming and the Enneagram Profiling tool for his clients.
